SPECIAL EVENTS

Family Literacy Day

Since 1999, children and adults across Canada have celebrated with ABC Life Literacy Canada, Family Literacy Day on January 27 by participating in activities that promote reading and learning as family activities.

This special day communicates the important message to children and parents in our community that the reading and learning activities we engage in as a family contribute to the development of good communication skills and future success.

Take a learning journey with us for Family Literacy Day 2012. Learning happens everywhere, and it's easy to make learning part of your daily life. Just download the Journey to Learning Passport and complete as many activities as you can leading up to Family Literacy Day on January 27, 2012. You can complete the passport as a family, individually or in groups at a Family Literacy Day event. Also download the Family Literacy Day Calendar and use it to complete each daily activity as a family. Send us your completed calendar to win a free book!
