Family Literacy activities include reading, crafting, writing, singing, cooking, storytelling, playing games, drawing and playing – any activity that engages your family so that you can all learn and grow together.

Literacy shared in families isn’t merely about parents reading to their children for 10 minutes before bedtime. It is about the relationships that develop because reading has a primary place within the home. Family literacy seeks to improve literacy levels of the adults. Family literacy is not just about valuing reading, but improving skills of ALL members of the family.
