READ Saskatoon Reveals Community Builder Award Winner

Saskatoon- August 11, 2020- On August 17th at the Saskatoon Golf and Country Club, Essence Recruitment will be presented with the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon 2020 Community Builder Award. This award honours local partners that are working to promote and support literacy in our city and province.

“Engaged community members help us to build strong communities,” said Sheryl Harrow-Yurach, Executive Director for READ Saskatoon. “Essence Recruitment is a great example of how community members have a meaningful impact on literacy. We would not be able to have the impact we do without our local community businesses supporting our work.”

Essence Recruitment, and owner and founder Tracy Arno, are long-time supporters of READ Saskatoon and literacy in our community. Tracy has been actively involved with READ Saskatoon, serving as a committee member and volunteer. Beyond her volunteer work with READ Saskatoon, Tracy is also involved in our annual PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy and our LIT UP! gala event.  The event shines a light on literacy and offers attendees the opportunity to be a part of the solution required to help families and individuals grow their literacy skills.

Essence Recruitment specializes in professional and executive recruitment. During the pandemic, Tracy Arno launched a new initiative PeopleCo that offers a variety of talent management services in Saskatoon and Calgary.

A passionate entrepreneur, Tracy understands the value and impact responsive literacy programming has on a person’s ability to reach their full potential. “The work READ Saskatoon does is vital for our community. Without access to literacy skills, many people fall behind, and our community misses out. I am committed lifelong learning, and I am happy to be involved with and support READ Saskatoon,” said Tracy Arno.

The Community Builder Award will be presented at READ Saskatoon’s Virtual Golf Tournament for Literacy on August 17, 2020.
