For over thirty years READ Saskatoon has provided free learning supports to our community.  We are ready to provide more innovative and responsive programming, based on sound evidence-based practices and research that:

  • brings parents and children together to learn;

  • allows additional drop-in support as adults re-engage in learning;

  • provides free trained tutors for literacy support; and

  • supports employee retention.

The need is great in Saskatoon.  If Saskatoon continues to grow at a rate of approximately 2%, which it has been recently, it will be home to 300,000 by 2026.  Faced with the potential to more than double its population over 50 years, the city is at a critical point (Saskatoon Speaks, background paper, 2010).

Investing financially in READ Saskatoon, and its capacity to work with adults, families and workplaces, ensures that Saskatoon remains skilled and competitive and ready to meet the new challenges of a knowledge-based society.

Your generous donation to READ Saskatoon supports programs like our One-to -One Literacy Tutoring Program, our many Family Literacy Programs and our Workplace Literacy initiatives.
You can help change lives. Please donate today.

Give a Gift of Stock

Good news for both donors and charities – following the elimination of capital gains of donations of publically traded securities in 2006, gifts of stocks are now the most tax-efficient way to make a charitable donation.  They’re also an excellent way for donors to make a greater impact with their gift.  For more information on the gift of stock, please contact Mavis McPhee at READ Saskatoon,  306-652-5448
