Confidentiality Policy

READ Saskatoon recognizes that our employees and/or volunteers may come into contact with, view or handle confidential information and/or materials that are not readily available to the public. As such, we require employees and/or volunteers to agree to maintain confidentiality regarding all confidential information, materials, processes, etc. obtained over the course of their employment with READ Saskatoon. READ Saskatoon employees and/or volunteers agree that if confidential information is not effectively protected, the operations and reputation of READ Saskatoon may be threatened, and may suffer irreparably.

Employees and/or volunteers with READ Saskatoon are required to keep all confidential information and relevant knowledge regarding the company’s clients confidential both during and after their term of employment. These practices have been adopted as they have been deemed essential to the protection of READ Saskatoon and its clients.

As an employee and/or volunteer with READ Saskatoon, I shall not divulge, disclose, provide or disseminate Confidential Information to any third party not employed by READ Saskatoon at any time, unless READ Saskatoon gives written authorization. I agree not to remove any confidential information from the premises of READ Saskatoon without express written permission from READ Saskatoon. Furthermore, Confidential Information shall not be used for any purpose other than its reasonable use in the normal performance of my duties as an employee with READ Saskatoon. Reasonable efforts will be made by READ Saskatoon to limit access to confidential information to only those who need to know the information.

In the event that I wrongly disclose Confidential Information that I have obtained over the course of my employment, READ Saskatoon has the right to cease my employment or volunteering commitment immediately. READ Saskatoon also has the right to seek legal recourse in the event that a breach of confidentiality occurs in which I am at fault.
