Out of the Covid-19 pandemic READ Saskatoon is emerging stronger than ever.

With the steadfast support of our community of friends and supporters, we are stepping up to meet the big challenge of the moment: building education equity within the context of COVID-19 recovery.

There are many aspects to this work, but our focus remains on literacy education for the province’s most vulnerable which we believe to be a key lever of change in our society.

To accomplish our goals and create impact on a larger scale, we are recruiting new people to join our team in the following roles:

Literacy Trainer and Volunteer Coordinator to deliver programs that relate to adult literacy skills development as well as training organizations throughout the city and province in READ Saskatoon literacy programs. This role also recruits and manages volunteers and promotes volunteerism within businesses. Education degree required. Wage range is $22-$31/hr.

Financial Literacy Facilitator to deliver workshops related to READ Saskatoon financial literacy initiatives. They facilitate and administer financial literacy events and programs. In addition, they provide guidance, support, resources, and tools to other organizations in the province. Wage range $21 – $28/hr.

If you are, or if you know of anyone who might be a good fit, please encourage them to apply especially if they are a systems thinker, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a growth mindset, are reliable, and are detail orientated. Both positions are full-time at 37.5 hours/week.

  1. qualifications and experience in education and literacy,
  2. experience working with adult participants,
  3. salary expectations,
  4. experience in the non-profit sector, and
  5. possible start date.
